Empowering & Positive Affirmations for Pre-Teen Girls

Pre-teen girls are entering a stage of life filled with new experiences and social pressures. We all know how tough the teenage years can be, especially in the social media filled world we live in today. It is very easy with peer pressure, the media, and social media for negative thinking to creep in. Positive affirmations can be a powerful tool to help them navigate this time with confidence and self-belief. By repeating positive statements about themselves, pre-teen girls can start to challenge negative self-talk and replace it with a more empowering inner voice. This can lead to a significant boost in self-esteem, making them feel capable and worthy.

Positive affirmations can also help pre-teen girls develop resilience. When faced with challenges or setbacks, they’ll be better equipped to bounce back and keep moving forward. In recent months, I have started giving my 11-year-old daughter words of affirmation on a sticky note in her lunch box. For us that is the perfect way to remind her how much she is loved and provide her with some positive words in the middle of her day. She’s at that age where peer relationships are starting to become more complicated, hormones are starting to kick in, and with all the upheaval and worry we’ve had as a family over the last few years, she struggles with negative feelings at times. 

Since implementing the daily affirmations for her, I’ve seen positive changes in her mood. When she finds the note she takes some deep breaths as she reads it and then she is filled with positive feelings. When she gets home at the end of the day, she takes the notes and puts them in a special jar so that she can go back and read them again whenever she wants to. You could even encourage your pre-teen girl to write them in a gratitude journal so they can really boost their mood.

I really like finding the notes in my lunchbox and keeping them in a jar. I can read them whenever I’m feeling down and it’s like having a big Mummy hug.
