Following on from yesterdays post about non-scary Halloween movies for children, I thought I’d share with you my family chocolate chip cookies recipe. You could make a day of it and make chocolate chip cookies then watch movies while you eat them.
You could also carry on the theme by using Halloween themed cookie cutters or decorating them with Halloween sprinkles.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Variations
There are so many ways that you could adapt this recipe to suit dietary requirements, taste preferences or seasonal events.
You could ice and decorate them with different colours or sprinkles depending on the occasion. What about pink and blue icing with dummy sprinkles for a baby shower or a gender reveal party.
You could use red, green and white icing with edible glitter and silver balls for Christmas.
You could buy cupcake toppers to suit the theme of a birthday party and add those.
You could cut them in different shapes to suit the occasion they are being made for.
You could add flavourings to the mix such as orange essence.
You could use a mixture of milk, white and dark chocolate or add some chopped nuts.
How would you adapt them or would you stick to a traditional chocolate chip cookies recipe? Let me know in the comments.
